  • Social application of communication technology for community development and disaster resiliency.
  • Last mile/last person community-based early warning systems.
  • Space-based networking in support of the NASA Haughton-Mars Project on Devon Island (collaboration between SFU Telematics Research Lab, PolyLAB, Communications Research Centre, Mars Institute, NASA and Canadian Space Agency).
