Mirjam is a PhD Candidate at the School of Communication. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Waterloo (Canada) and a Master’s degree from the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg (Germany). She is a former radio reporter and news speaker. Her research interests are in journalism studies, communication theories, and media and cultural policy. Mirjam is a Teaching Assistant with the School of Communication as well as a Research Associate with SFU’s Centre for Policy Studies on Culture and Communities.
