Presentation on Open Content Alliance versus Google Books, reflecting the November 2009 Google Books settlement, at the Canadian Communication Association Conference, Congress, June 2, 2010, Montreal. Looks at OCA and Google Books from the perspectives of public sphere theory and network theory (Castells). OCA seen as a better fit for the public sphere, and (more controversial) more network-like.
