Terry has a unique background in materials science and engineering, in corporate management and in the mediation of family, work place, community and commercial conflicts. His research focuses on the role of dialogue in multiparty/multidisciplinary problem solving. His dissertation explores how science and technology influence the methods and everyday discourses of conflict resolution. Terry has designed and taught courses on negotiation, mediation and problem solving at Simon Fraser University, Kwantlen University College, the Justice Institute of British Columbia and in private practice.
